Amalaki Ekadashi is a sacred fasting day observed during the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) of the month of Phalguna (February–March). It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is especially associated with the worship of the Amla (Indian gooseberry) tree, which is considered very dear to the Lord.
According to ancient scriptures, the Amla tree is believed to be a manifestation of Lord Vishnu. On this day, devotees fast, chant prayers, read sacred texts, and offer worship under or near an Amla tree. The observance of Amalaki Ekadashi is said to cleanse sins, bring spiritual merit, and grant prosperity and good health.
This Ekadashi also falls close to Gaura Purnima, making it spiritually significant for many Vaishnavas. Devotees pray for purification of the heart and deeper devotion. The day emphasizes simplicity, self-control, and remembrance of God.
By sincerely observing Amalaki Ekadashi, devotees seek divine blessings and spiritual progress, strengthening their faith and devotion in Lord Vishnu. 🌿
